My favorite part of these jeans is the color.  The wash name is Rock With Holes which is a black wash that’s faded for a vintage/destroyed feel, and they have distress and holes all along the front.  I’m normally not a huge fan of this much distress in my jeans.  But because they’re such a dark color, the distress looks less obvious.  They have an edgy look to them, which I love.  My only concern is the location of the holes on the knees.  With the amount of leg bending that I do throughout my day, I’m always leery about jeans with holes on the knees.  Over time, these holes may get really blown out with wear.

These jeans are also extremely comfortable.  Most of the time, when I get a new pair of jeans, there’s typically a “breaking in” period.  But these jeans felt broken in from the moment I put them on.  Made of 98% cotton and 2% polyurethane, these jeans have a nice comfortable stretch to them.  Although they’re skinny jeans, they don’t feel overly constricting because of the amount of elasticity to the material.  These jeans run true to size.

The inseam is 29 ½ inches.  The rise measurement is 8 inches, which is a nice medium rise.  These fit snug all along the leg and thighs and come to a tight leg opening of 10 inches.  The style is a classic 5 pocket style with Rag & Bone’s signature RB initials stitched on the back right pocket.

Washing instructions are:  machine wash cold inside out, do not bleach, hang dry.

I’ve mentioned before that I am always on the hunt for the perfect pair of shorts.  I absolutely love the styles that Current/Elliott comes out with every summer, particularly their boyfriend shorts.  Unfortunately, the length is a little short for my taste. So I tried something new this time and went up in size to see if that might help.  I think going up in size was the right choice for me.  These shorts run true to Current/Elliott’s sizing, but my preference in fit for shorts is quite different than my jeans.  While I prefer my jeans to fit nice and tight, I feel the complete opposite about my shorts.  I prefer them to fit relaxed and loose.

The wash name is Summer Love with Embroidery, which is a medium blue dirty denim color with dark blue embroidered flowers along the front.  I love fun embroidered designs like this.  They have a nice 60’s hippie vibe.  There is some distress along the front and a little on the back as well.  These shorts would have been so perfect for Coachella, and I’m quite sure we would have seen much more of them had they been available earlier.

The rise is 9 inches, but since I went up in size, they rest on my hips and feel slightly longer.  The entire length of the shorts is 10 ½ inches.  The front pockets peak through the bottom hem.  The leg opening is 22 inches with a frayed hem.  Made of 90% cotton, 6% polyester, and 4% elastane, these are very soft and feel like they’ve been worn in for you already.  They do stretch out a decent amount after a little wear, so keep that in mind when choosing your size.

Washing instructions are:  hand wash cold inside out, do not bleach, lay flat to dry, cool iron.

I feel like every summer, I’m on a mission to find those perfect shorts.  I feel like most of the ones I see are either too short or too long or too tight or simply just not very flattering on me.  What I love about these shorts, aside from the extreme comfort, is that they fit nice and loose.  They’re considered boyfriend shorts, so they’re on the more relaxed side.  I’d say these run slightly large, but they’re meant to be loose.  I actually went up one size because I really wanted to emphasize the relaxed look.  And since they fit looser, they rest more on my hips, giving me a slightly longer inseam.  The inseam on these shorts is 3 inches (minus the fray), which is such a perfect length in my opinion.  Although I love the look of short shorts, I feel super self-conscious in them.  But these expose enough of the legs without feeling overly exposed.

The color is called Anti-Establishment which is a lighter blue with distress throughout the front part of the shorts.  Under the holes and distress is a UK Union Jack Flag that peaks through the holes (which represents Hudson Jeans’ mantra of “born in California, but rooted in London”).  The style is a classic five pocket with a button fly with gold buttons.  I’ve already worn these shorts a ton.  Although there’s a lot of distress, they actually look really cute with a dressier top and sandals as well as a casual tee and boots.  They’re really versatile shorts as long as they’re paired correctly.

The rise is 9 ½ inches, which feel lower on me because I went up in size.  Made of 98% cotton and 2% elastan, these have some stretch to them.  And they will stretch out a bit more after some wear.  The leg opening is 24 inches with a frayed hem.

Washing instructions are: Turn inside out, hand wash cold, hang dry, no iron.

When I wear skinny jeans, I oftentimes forfeit comfort for the flattering skinny fit.  But these jeans are super flattering skinny jeans while not comprising any comfort.  The soft stretch material in the denim makes these so easily wearable all day long.  Made of 98% cotton and 2% elastane, there is a lot of elasticity to the jeans which contours the body, but they stay true to their fit without stretching out much with wear.   I’d say these run pretty true to size.

The color is called Grey which is a medium to dark charcoal grey with fading throughout.  The inseam is a little longer on these with a 32 inch inseam.  I love when there are little details on jeans that sets them apart from others.  For these, it’s the wide hem which is an inch thick.  There’s also zipper details along both front pockets (see photo below).  These jeans are tight throughout with a 9 ½ inch leg opening.  But there’s a 7 ½ inch outer side zipper for easier leg access.  I’ve seen these jeans worn with the side zippers worn slightly open giving them a small flare, which also looks great. It’s also a nice alternative if the jeans are a little long for you.

The rear pockets are plain with Anine Bing’s signature black leather patch label on the right side of the waistband.  The hardware is pewter color, and the rise measurement is 7 inches.

Washing instructions are:  Wash cold (40 degrees) with similar colors inside out, all zippers must be closed; tumble dry low, medium iron.

It’s probably pretty apparent by now that I’m quite a fan of Current/Elliott.  Their Stiletto jean is one of my favorites.  However, of all the Stiletto jeans I’ve tried (and we’ve reviewed quite a few on our site), they seem to vary a bit in fit.  Some fit ever so skin tight such as the Stiletto in Indigo Polka Dot or in White Star.  Whereas, some of their other Stiletto jeans such as the Sanddollar wash  or this pair in particular run a little more on the relaxed side.  And with a little wear, they stretch out even further.  I’d say these run about a size large, which is pretty typical of most Current/Elliott jeans.

Made of 90% cotton, 6% polyester, and 4% elastane, these have a little bit of stretch to them.  They feel very rugged and sturdy.  And I love the wash.  Dirty Loved Hippie Patchwork Destroy is the name, and they have patchwork throughout the front side of the legs.  The patchwork patterns will be different from pair to pair, making these truly one of a kind. The only downfall to these jeans is the location of the hole on the right knee.  It’s located right at the knee, so any slight bend of the knee tears the hole even further. But if you don’t mind the busted knee, then it might be ok.  The color is a very vintage faded jean that appears as if it was once a dark blue denim that has been worn and washed over a long period of time.  So there’s fading throughout the jeans in all the right places.

The leg opening is 10 inches.  Although these are considered a skinny jean, they’re slightly on the relaxed side.  The rise is 8 inches, and the inseam is 28 inches.  I love the length on these because I can wear them with any length heel.

First thing’s first, I have to mention the fit on these because they fit like no other jeans I’ve ever owned.  These are seriously the tightest fitting jeans I have ever tried.  When they call these the “Spray On” jeans, I can see why.  They are snug from top to bottom, with very little stretch or elasticity.  I found it really difficult to move in these jeans.  Not only are they extremely fitted throughout the thighs and calves, they are also very tight on the knees.  It’s very difficult for me to bend my legs in these jeans because the material feels very stiff.  Made of 98% cotton and 2% spandex, I really don’t feel much elasticity to these at all.  And the waist band is also extremely tight.  These run about a full size small.  And do keep in mind that they have a particularly tight fit along the calves.

With that all being said, I actually fell in love with these jeans the moment I (finally) got them on.  Although I had to quite literally shimmy my way into them, once I got them on I fell in love with them.  Ok, ok, so they aren’t the most comfortable pair of jeans.  But if you put looks over comfort, then you might love these just as much as I do.  The rear pockets are positioned in a way to give a lift to the rear.  The simple five pocket classic design speaks for itself in the way that they fit and hug every inch of the leg.  The wash is called Dirty Cammo.  I’ve tried several different camouflage jeans before.  In fact, we recently reviewed a couple of pair of camo jeans (see Song’s review on Current Elliott’s here and my review on TEXTILE Elizabeth and James here).  I did really like the look and fit on those as well.  But there is something especially great about the fit on these.  And I particularly love the camouflage pattern on these.  There’s a clean look to the camo pattern, but it’s also stone washed to give a very slight vintage appeal.

The rise is 8 ½ inches, making these a mid-rise jean.  There’s a hidden inner ankle zipper that’s almost 6 inches long.  When zipped, the leg opening is 9 inches.  The inseam is 27 inches, which is such a perfect length for me.  It hits right at my ankles, which works great for me because I can wear any shoes, heels or flats, with an inseam of this length.  (Keep in mind that measurements may vary slightly with different sizes).

Washing instructions are: Machine wash in cold, do not tumble dry, do not dry clean, do not iron (due to the print).

The beauty of Current/Elliott’s loose fitting jeans is that they seem to be a touch bigger than your normal size, yet they still somehow fit just right.  The majority of us fashion loving denim fans have been squeezing our way through skinny jeans for some time now.  While I still revere the slim effects of skinny jeans, the baggy, slouchy alternative is a nice welcomed wardrobe change and a nice fresh alternative.  Current/Elliott has been a pioneer to this boyfriend trend (see our reviews here and here).  I personally feel that some of their boyfriend styles are a bit too baggy for me, which is why I appreciate these other slouchy alternatives, such as this particular pair.

These have a looser fit, which may seem like they run about a full size large.  But if you prefer them to fit on the more slouchy side as they’re intended to, then go with your normal size.  I took my normal Current/Elliott size in these to keep with the slouchy looking effect.  They have a very relaxed fit all along the thighs down passed the calves.  Made of 90% cotton, 6% polyester, and 4% elastane, these do stretch out a bit after wear.  These are just as comfortable as most Current/Elliott jeans are.  They feel like they’ve been worn in for you already.  These have a higher rise of 9 ½ inches.  The bottom hem has a slight flare with a 14 inch leg opening.  I like the cropped fit on these with a 25 inch inseam.
