The Citizens of Humanity Avedon Skinny jeans…the first word that comes to mind when wearing these jeans is comfort. These are literally one of the softest pairs of denim I have ever owned. It feels almost like wearing soft cotton leggings with the look of jeans. They’re made of 44% rayon, 29% cotton, 25% cupro, and 2% polyurethane. There is a LOT of stretch to these jeans. I took one size larger which look fine because of the elasticity. It sticks right to the leg and doesn’t stretch much with wear, unlike most other denim. However, I wouldn’t necessary suggest going up in size. I probably would have preferred my regular size had it been available. The waistband is very forgiving and has a lot of give, which is another reason not to go up in size especially if you don’t have the hips to hold up your jeans. Stick to your true size on these.

Comfort aside, the fit is extremely flattering. Because of the elasticity, you don’t need to be thin as a rail to wear these skinny jeans. These are flattering for most body types.  I’m a big fan of skinny jeans, and these jeans have raised the bar in my expectation of jeans. They make your legs look very long, worn with the right top. They look great with flats, heels, or a great pair of boots.

The color is Ever wash, which is a deep dark blue with slight fading along the thighs, knees, rear, and waistline.  The inseam measurement is 30 inches, which works well for more petite in stature ladies. It’s a plus for me when I don’t need to get my jeans altered.  These have a medium rise of 8 1/2 inches.  The leg opening is 10 inches.  The wash instructions are machine wash cold, hang dry, iron medium if necessary. I was a little surprised about the drying instructions, as most jeans allow tumble dry. But it’s probably due to the material in order to keep its shape and elasticity.

My only objection to these jeans is the rear pockets. I’m not crazy about the positioning of them, as they’re not super flattering on the rear. But you could always just wear a long tunic to cover up. 😉

These Avedon Jeans in Ever wash have been seen on Lindsay Lohan.

These jeans sold out very fast, but you can find them in the Dust wash and Azure wash, which have the same cut and material as these.
