I’d been curious to try TEXTILE Elizabeth & James jeans for some time now. I was looking for a nice pair of cropped jeans for the summer, so I decided to check these out. These are the Lucy jeans by TEXTILE Elizabeth and James. My favorite detail about these jeans is the bottom hem. I love the look of the frayed hem, which you typically see more so on denim shorts than on jeans. But these have them, and I love it! And because they’re cropped, the hem really stands out.
These are a skinny fit. They’re fitted throughout the thighs and calves with an 11 inch leg opening. The inseam is 24 ½ inches, which makes these great for the summer. The color is also a nice summer color. The wash name is Glory Days, which is a really pretty medium to light color wash with fading throughout. There’s slight distressing along the concealed zipper fly area and rear pockets. There’s also a gold colored contrast stitch. The hardware is silver. The style is a classic 5 pocket style without adornment. However, they do have some small details that make them unique to other denim, such as the bleached colored patch on the rear right waistband. There’s also a slanted belt loop in the back. I love when certain pairs of jeans take on small unique details like these.
Made of 98% cotton and 2% elastane, these have a decent amount of stretch. And they do stretch even more with wear, so keep that in mind when trying these on. Although I took one size larger than my normal size, these jeans run slightly large. If you’re in between sizes, go with the smaller size because these do stretch out even more as you wear them. The rise is 7 ½ inches.
The one complaint that I’d have about these is the rear pockets. They are long and fairly narrow, and they’re slanted in a way that isn’t the most flattering to the rear in my opinion.
The washing instructions are: machine wash in cold, tumble dry low, iron when needed, do not bleach.
