Meet the Maker Behind the Iconic Brand, Frankie B

I’ve mentioned before in previous posts that Frankie B is one of my personal favorite denim brands.  So I am thrilled to be doing this feature post on none other than the Frankie B brand and Daniella Clarke herself, the designer and founder of this fabulous brand.  It was such a treat for me to be able to meet Daniella and learn about what an amazing mother, wife, designer, and entrepreneur she is.

Founded in 1999, the Frankie B brand was inspired by Daniella’s personal style of re-creating her own one-of-a-kind denim, something she did since her early teens.  Often complimented for her jeans, the brand, Frankie B, soon emerged and was named after her daughter, Frankie.

Frankie B has become iconic for its low rise jeans.  The brand has been coined by its denim fans as an addiction (I can personally vouch the accuracy of that!)—most Frankie B owners collect the jeans and own on average of 10 different styles.  Daniella designs for women like herself who are laid back, feminine, and confident, with a bit of an edge.  It’s no wonder Frankie B has made fans out of celebrities such as Sienna Miller, Charlize Theron, Mischa Barton, Eva Longoria, Fergie, Vanessa Hudgens, Jennifer Lopez, Megan Fox, and many more.  Although best known for their jeans, Frankie B has branched out and become a full lifestyle brand which includes tops, bottoms, dresses, eyewear, and active wear.  Frankie B can be found at major department stores and specialty boutiques worldwide.

Daniella’s work has certainly not gone unrecognized.  In 2004, the Frankie B brand and Daniella Clark were awarded the MAFI Fashion Innovator of the Year award.  In 2007, Daniella was honored with a Media Award from Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization for her support and dedication to the cause.  Daniella carries with her a philosophy instilled within her by her mother while growing up which is, “If the clothes you’re wearing don’t make you feel and look better, then what’s the point?”

Daniella was born in Israel and currently lives in California with her rocker husband, Gilby Clarke, and daughter, Frankie.

Take a look at Frankie B’s Fall 2011 Look Book.  I can’t wait to try their Supa Dupa Wide Leg jean!!   I recently did a review on their Punkster Famous Bootcut Jean (see here), which is being brought back this Fall in their White Noise wash.

People post links to websites that have (for example) live streaming football and they nearly always have .blogspot. in the link. When I follow these there is just match details and adverts, no football (even when I know the game is being played). Do I need to install something or sign up to something?.
