Following our post on Fall Trends for 2011, we are reviewing 7 For All Mankind, The Trouser in Charcoal Featherweight.  Trouser jeans, would you try it?  Well, after seeing these, you should!  7 FAM did an impeccable job in creating these trouser style jeans.  They are durable like denim and yet they drape well like trousers.   These are so beautiful!  These wide leg trousers can go from office to night life easily.  You can dress it sophisticated and professional or dress it fun and flirty.  Originally, I wasn’t too sure about denim trousers, but really these are one of the best fits I have seen.  It is a perfect blend of cotton, polyester, and spandex that is cool to the touch against the body.  The 4% spandex gives it stretch so that this truly hugs your body and flatters your curves.

The Charcoal Featherweight color is a rich medium grey that goes with just about everything.  This simple and timeless style will last you many wears and many seasons.  To complement the simple style, the back pockets are very simple and does not have the usual 7 FAM embroidery.  It has your usual button and zip fly.   This is what I would call a mid-rise jean, which is probably what most of us are comfortable wearing.   It cinches your waist to give you shape and then gently flares to create shape and movement to your legs.  The wide leg fit sway beautifully with each stride when paired with heels.   These run true to size with a long inseam which requires hemming for proper fit.    I don’t think that there is anything that I do not like about these jeans.

Our model, Maria, when she first tried these on, absolutely loved the color and couldn’t believe the feel of the jeans.  When she finally wore them she loved how they fit perfectly on what she considers to be her ‘hard to fit body’.  She complained about having a very difficult time finding pants that fit her shape.  As a result, we ended up selecting several sizes just in case and found that the smallest size that we selected suited her body perfectly.  Maria has a very small waist and a fuller figure on the bottom, but these trousers, help to draw more attention to her waist and her height.   She has what I consider an hourglass figure, which I don’t know that she fully appreciates.  We think that these trousers fit her perfectly and I believe that we have now found a new 7FAM fan.
