I was so excited to try these skinny jeans by Rag & Bone. I love the fit on my Rag and Bone skinnies in the Salmon wash (see review here), so I wanted to try them in their other Fall washes. Since I had such a great experience with my other skinny jeans, I thought these would be a great pair to try. I was particularly drawn to the color. I love that “dirty denim” wash to jeans. These were specifically made to look that way. The color name is Oil Stain, which is fitting for what the wash portrays. It has streaks of black oil stains along the front thighs, knees, rear, and back calves. I’m sure each pair varies slightly in color. The wash is a dark blue with heavy fading throughout the thighs and knees and moderate fading along the rear and back legs.
The fit is skinny throughout the leg. Made of 98% cotton and 2% polyurethane, these do have a lot of stretch. They fit true size, although I took one size larger in these because I couldn’t get a hold of any in my regular size. I think I would have been much happier with the fit if they were in my normal size. They feel a little loose on me, which is not how I like my skinny jeans to fit. What I can really appreciate about Rag & Bone jeans, at least from the ones I’ve tried so far, is that they don’t lose their original fit and shape over time. Their skinny jeans really cling to the leg in a very flattering way, and don’t stretch out much with wear.
The inseam is 30 ½ inches which is a little longer than the average skinny jean. The rise is 7 ½ inches with an 11 inch leg opening. The rear pockets have Rag & Bone’s signature “rb” stitch on the right pocket. These are the classic 5 pocket style with a zip fly, button enclosure.
Washing instructions are: machine wash cold inside out, hang dry.
