J Brand Jodhpur Twill Pants in Vintage Stallion

If you were one of the many who fell in love with J Brand’s Houlihan Cargos (see our review), then these pants will suit you as well.  These are J Brand Jodhpur Jeans.  The fit is very similar to the Houlihan cargos.  They are just as flattering, and they are even made of the same twill material.  The cut is also very similar to the Houihan’s.  What I really like about these Jodhpur pants is the velour rider patches on the inner part of the legs.  The same velour material also aligns the front and back pockets, which adds a nice contrast. The rear pockets are slit pockets, which aren’t typically very flattering on the rear. But because of the velour, it gives a little bit of dimension. The rear pockets are actually faux pockets.

The color is called Vintage Stallion which is a really pretty chocolate brown with a vintage fading in the color.  These pants are meant to be a skinny fit.  The material doesn’t have much stretch, although they do stretch out a bit with some wear.  I’d say they’re about a half size small.  If you’re familiar with the J Brand Houlihan Cargos, then I’d say to go with whatever size  you take in those.  These are made of Japanese luxe twill, made up of 98% cotton and 2% lycra.  The inseam is 29 inches with a 9 inch leg opening.  There’s a 6 inch bottom zipper which allows for a wider leg opening.

These J Brand Jodhpur’s have been seen in many of J Brand’s ads for the fall.  They’ve also been seen on Emily Blunt, who looked lovely in them.

Washing instructions are:  wash in cold with like colors, tumble dry low, do not iron.

I remember wearing and loving riding pants in the early nineties. Love that they are coming back. J Brand did a great job on these. The color looks so rich. These are beautiful!
