Current/Elliott Skinny Cargo Pants in Combat Green

When the cargo craze began, I overindulged myself with several different pairs since I fell absolutely in love with this trend.  These are Current Elliott’s Skinny Cargo.  I purchased these when they first came out last year (2010). The weather was a bit warmer so I didn’t have many opportunities to wear them. Now that the weather has been a bit cooler, and thankfully the cargo trend is still going strong, I’ve had more opportunities to wear them. I’m so glad because I love love love the fit on these cargos. I have to start off by expressing how unbelievably comfortable they are. They’re fitted cargos, but they have quite a bit of stretch to them. So you don’t have to feel like you are holding your breath throughout the day while wearing them.

The rise is 7 inches. The inseam is around 31 inches which was surprising because Current/Elliott typically runs pretty long. However, I still needed to get these hemmed a tad since I don’t like too much bunching at the bottom of my skinny jeans. It’s a personal preference.  The leg opening is 12 inches.

The color is called Combat Green. I’ve seen different shades of this Combat Green, varying individually with each pair. The ones that I have are a bit more on the army green side, although I’ve seen some in stores that have more of a brown tone to them. This makes it difficult to purchase online since you won’t see the actual pair you’re purchasing. Another discrepancy I’ve found with each pair is the distressing. Some are more distressed than others. Overall, there isn’t a whole lot of distressing with their cargos, but I liked that mine had more distressing along the rear pockets and waistline.

The rear has flattering flap pockets with snap button enclosures. The front closure, cargo pockets, and rear pockets all have Current/Elliott’s signature buttons.  I’d say these run about a size large, as most Current/Elliott jeans do. Whatever size you typically take in Current/Elliott’s skinnies, I’d say to stick with that size. Overall, Current/Elliott skinnies run about a half to full size large compared to most other denim designers, and these are no different.

Washing instructions are: Wash in cold, tumble dry medium, low iron.

Some celebrities that have been seen wearing these cargos are Kim Kardashian, Jessica Alba, Vanessa Minnillo, Miranda Cosgrove, and Kendra Wilkinson Baskett.
