7 for All Mankind…Georgia is on My Mind

As we continue to follow the wide leg trend, I checked out the Georgia by 7 for All Mankind.   I first noticed these jeans in a magazine on Jessica Alba.  She made these jeans look so cute and it flattered her small frame quite well.   It was a nice modern look with a hint of the 70’s style.

These popular jeans quickly sold out.  When these jeans finally arrived after a special order request, I found the style and wash of these jeans to be very charming.  The front coin pocket and the double welt pockets are great details that help to create a slimming front silhouette.  The eye just gravitates to these details on the jeans.   Since these jeans are high-waisted, the tailored darting helps to cinch the waist.  The welt pockets are also on the backside and compliment anyone who has some rear shape.   But because these jeans are high-waisted, they tend to flatten the rear and for me, flattening is not the look I prefer.

The wash is called New Zealand and 7 considers it a medium blue wash but it can pass for a darker than medium wash that is slightly faded to give it that worn feel.    Who doesn’t love the look of well worn denim?  The slight fade is great for a more dressed down look and the medium blue wash is also suitable for dressing up.  These jeans are great for pairing with heels to showcase the dramatic flair and the dramatic flair help to elongate the legs.

Although, these jeans have cute details and many a flattering details, these jeans do not work for everyone.   As usual, these jeans have the great stretch and comfort that 7 jeans are well known for.   For anyone that loves the look of the dramatic flares and the comfort of high-waisted jeans, and then these are a great pair to check out.   These jeans (as true with most 7 for All Mankind jeans) tend to stretch with wear so I recommend ordering a size down from your normal size.   Sometimes it’s worth stretching usual wardrobe taste for something fun and different.   Are you a 7 jean fan?  Would you try these?

The last photo in this review is a close up of my yellow topaz ring that sparkles surrounded by diamonds that I enjoyed wearing thanks to our friends at, BDP.  Who doesn’t enjoy wearing a sparkly piece with her outfit?
