Current/Elliott Charlie Pant in Champion

I feel like it’s been a while since I’ve done any reviews on wideleg jeans, so I decided to do this review on Current Elliott’s Charlie Pant.  These are just about everything I look for in wideleg jeans.  The bottom has a perfect 23 inch leg opening.  I’ve seen some wideleg jeans that are too wide at the bottom and some that aren’t wide enough, making them seem more like a bootcut jean.  But these have a perfect leg opening in my opinion.  What I also love about these is how fitted they are throughout the leg until they break 16 inches down the inseam.  What sets these apart from other wideleg jeans is the fit.  I love that they are a perfect wideleg with a very flattering and tight fit along the waist, hips, and thighs.

These have a higher rise of 9 ½ inches.  As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, oftentimes higher rises aren’t very flattering on the rear.  But Current/Elliott managed to maintain a considerably flattering backside to these jeans.  I also really like the front slit pockets, giving these a more 70s style vibe.

The wash is called Champion which is a faded medium blue.  There is also distressing on the upper front right leg and also close to the knee on the left leg.  The rear beltline and rear pockets have some distress as well.

Made of 98% cotton and 2% elastin, these have some stretch to them.  And they do stretch a bit with some wear.  I’d say they run about a half size large compared to standard designer sizes.  They do, however, run pretty true to Current/Elliott’s sizing.

The washing instructions are: wash in cold, tumble dry low, low iron heat.
