Current/Elliott Low Bell Jeans in Anchor Destroy

When Current/Elliott came out with their Low Bell style jeans, I was over the moon.  It was such a perfect flare leg jean in my opinion.  (We did reviews in the Compass wash and Blue Moon wash).  So I was really happy to try out this pair.  These are Current/Elliott Low Bell Jeans  in Anchor Destroy.

Like the other Low Bell jeans we reviewed, these are so incredibly comfortable.  The material is made of 98% cotton and 2% elastin.  The denim is so soft, and feels as if the jeans have been worn in for years.  They feel fairly light-weight.  These are  a classic 5 pocket style with the rear pockets drooping slightly for a more relaxed look.  These run true to Current/Elliott’s classic sizing, which is about a half size to a size larger than most other designer sizing.

The wash is called Anchor Destroy, which is a medium blue wash with fading throughout.  There are destroyed holes along the right front coin pocket, the left outer front pocket, the right upper thigh, left upper knee, with some lighter distressing along the rear pockets and waistband.  Keep in mind that the distressed holes may vary a bit from jean to jean.  The only complaint I have about this distressing is the one on the left knee.  It’s located above the knee (it’s about 11 inches down the inseam), so I don’t need to worry about tearing it too much if I bend my knee.  However, I find myself getting my foot caught in it as I slip the jeans on.  And there is no reinforcement behind these holes, so you have to be careful when wearing and washing them.

These have a slightly lower rise (hence the name “Low Bell”) of 7 inches.  They are very fitted along the top area until they reach the knee.  Around 14 inches down the inseam, they break into a wide leg opening of 21 inches.  The inseam is 36 inches, which is way too long for me as you can see in the pictures.  I wanted to give you all an accurate picture of how long the length is before I got them hemmed.  I’ll definitely need to get these hemmed.
