Diesel Getlegg Jeans in 882P

As you all know, we at StylePosts are huge denim aficionados.  So I can really appreciate brands such as Diesel who I consider a pioneer in designer denim.   Although, it’s been quite some time since I bought myself a pair of Diesel Jeans.  I bought my first pair of Diesel jeans back in 2001, and I fell in love with them.  But through the years, I’ve had a hard time being able to find a pair of Diesels that fit my body well.  However, this season, they came up with a new “Fit Your Attitude” collection, featuring six new cuts.  This pair is one of the six called the Getlegg Jeans.

I first saw these jeans in their new campaign, and I just had to try them.  What I really like about these jeans is that they are slim fitting with a more relaxed fit.  I realize that sounds like a bit of an oxymoron.  But Diesel is the master of contradictory combinations in their jeans, and they somehow make it work.

These Getlegg Jeans are slim throughout the leg, but they have a slightly looser fit along the thigh and widen up a bit at the knee as to not make these super skin tight jeans.  The leg opening is 11 inches.  The front rise is 7 ¾  inches with a higher back rise of 13 inches.  This was intentional on their part, as they wanted to allow the wearer to move freely in these jeans without having to worry about uncomfortably exposing certain areas.  Diesel makes different inseams for their jeans as well, which I can really appreciate.  This particular pair has a 32 inch inseam (they also make them in a 30 and 34 inch inseam).  I decided to roll them up, giving them more of a boyfriend style look.  I’d say these run about a size large, depending on how you want to wear them.  If you want them on the more fitted side, I’d say to go down a size.  If you want them with a more relaxed fit, then go with your normal size.

The color is called 882P, which has strong grey undertones to the denim.  There is heavy fading along the knees and whiskering along the front and back.  Diesel is very intentional about no two pairs of their jeans looking exactly the same, so the coloring on each individual pair of jeans will vary a bit.  Made of 98% cotton and 2% elastin, these have some stretch to them.  And they do stretch out a little bit more with some wear.  The denim is heavy weight and sturdy.  The rear pockets have Diesel’s signature design in a black glittery stitching.  The rear Diesel patch is made of 100% cow leather.

The washing instructions are:  Wash in cold (maximum 30 degrees C), do not tumble dry, iron on low heat, do not dry clean, do not bleach.
