If you’ve been keeping up with the denim trends, I have no doubt you’ve seen Current/Elliott’s leopard print jeans around since last year. Although this style has been around for some time now, I decided to post them being that I’m partial to burgundy and purple hues. These are Current/Elliott Ankle Skinny Leopard Jeans in Fig. We did a review in the past on this same cut in the Blue Ribbon boa print (see review here). These are not to be mistaken for Current/Elliott’s initial ever popular Leopard print Stiletto jeans (see our Grey Leopard review here). The cut on these is slightly different.
As with most Current/Elliott jeans, the comfort on these is amazing. Made of 98% cotton and 2% elastin, the denim is a heavy-weight jean. They do stretch with wear. So although they may feel snug initially, they will definitely stretch out with some wear. I’d say to size down in these. They run about a size large. If I were to compare these to the other Current/Elliott Leopard print Stiletto jeans, I’d say these run a bit looser. These are not body-hugging skinny jeans. They’re a bit roomy along the calf area. And the inseam is slightly longer than the Stiletto jeans. These have a 30 inch inseam which I decided to roll up to give a more cropped look. The leg opening is 10 inches, and rise measurement is 7 inches.
The color is called Fig which is a deep burgundy with leopard print in faded black and dark burgundy. The leopard print is more subtle, allowing a more understated look. There is slight fading within the wash. The leopard print allows for a lot of versatility from day to evening in these jeans.
Washing instructions are: machine wash in cold, tumble dry low, do not bleach, iron low heat.
