We reviewed a pair of Rag & Bone Midnight Tuxedo Jeans earlier this year (see our review here), which I fell in love with and have become one of my favorite jeans I’ve ever owned. So I wanted to expand my tuxedo collection by trying these out. Although they’re by the same maker, they’re different jeans in many ways. These are Rag & Bone Khaki Tuxedo Jeans.
I actually noticed these a couple of months ago when I first purchased my other Rag & Bone Midnight Tuxedo Jeans, but I didn’t give them much thought then. It wasn’t until a few weeks ago that I saw them again and decided to give them a try. The color is called Khaki Tuxedo which is a nice earthy beige color with a black stripe down the outer side of each leg.
The material on these is really stretchy and comfortable. They’re made of 55% cotton, 42% tencel, and 3% spandex. There’s a lot of elasticity to these jeans, but I’d say they run pretty true to size. The inseam on these is 30 inches, which is a little longer than I prefer to wear my skinnies. This inseam length bunches up at the bottom on me. I prefer to wear my skinnies with a cleaner hem and less bunching at the bottom. But this is nothing a good tailor can’t easily fix.
The style is a classic 5 pocket style, with Rag & Bone’s signature initials on the right rear pocket. The rise is a comfortable 8 inches. I’d consider these a mid rise jean. The fit on these is tight. They really cling to every part of the leg, almost like spandex, with a 10 inch leg opening.
The washing instructions are: wash inside out in cold water, hang dry.
These have been seen on Cara Delevingne who wore them with combat boots and a leather jacket. I love how she paired them with such an edge.
