One of the things I love about Siwy is that I feel like many of their jeans are tailored for more vertically challenged girls like myself. These cargos are no different. With the inseam being 24 1/2 inches, it hits right below my calf which is exactly where I like cropped pants to fit.
The color name is blacksand, which is a faded vintage gray color. The pants have a belted waist tie which I opted to leave off and replace with a regular belt. I personally am not crazy about belted waists, as I feel that they leave a bulkiness under my tops that I typically wear on the longer side. However, Siwy’s ads for these pants have the models wearing the belts, and it looks great on them. So it’s a personal choice.
The rise is 10 inches. Although the rise is on the higher side, these are by no mean “mom jeans”. They have a higher rise to leave room for slouchiness which is the intent of these pants. They are very relaxed along the upper portion, tapering down to a skinny fit in the calves with a 10 inch leg opening. There is also a 2 inch hem at the bottom of the legs, which gives a nice little extra something to the look. These pants run large at least by one size.
Made of 97% cotton and 3% elastan, these pants are super comfortable. The beauty of these cargos is that although they have a very relaxed fit and can be worn very casually, they can also be dressed up given the right shoes and top. The two sets of cargo pockets also have a slouchiness to them, sitting nicely above the knees without creating any extra bulkiness. The rear has no pockets, which I’m not typically a fan of. But because of the stitching, it gives dimension to the rear. These pants are machine washable in cold, tumble dry medium. Wash with like colors.
I added a little bit of accessory with a white gold bezel set diamond and ruby bracelet by BDP. The details to this bracelet are gorgeous. The milligrain added around the bezels give it a unique antique feel to it. I’ve also seen this bracelet made with blue sapphires. Gorgeous!
Getting back to my pants, luckily it doesn’t look like the cargo trend is going anywhere just yet, which is fine by me because I love the look of cargo pants. These have been seen worn on Vanessa Hudgens and Kristen Stewart, while Demi Moore and Cheryl Cole were seen wearing these in the Moss wash.
