MiH Paris Mid-Rise Cropped Slim Leg Jeans in Nico

It’s always exciting when we are able to introduce a new brand to our website.  These aren’t necessarily a new brand.  In fact, they should be considered one of the godfathers of designer denim.  MiH was originally founded in 1969, and then re-launched around 7 years ago.  I originally had my eye on their ever famous MiH Marrakesh Kick Flare Jeans, but I wasn’t sure if my not-so-long legs could pull them off.  So I decided to try a pair that I felt would fit better for me.  These are MiH Paris Mid-Rise Cropped Slim Leg Jean.

Many of MiH’s jeans have a real 70’s retro vibe which I absolutely love.  These jeans, although they’re not wide leg like many of the 70’s inspired jeans are, they still give off an oldies vibe with their front MiH trademark slit “jet” pockets and higher rise (rise is 8 ¼ inches).  What also makes these stand out from other jeans is the cut.  They’re more of a straight leg cropped jean.  They’re not super skin tight like most other skinnies we’ve reviewed.  However, they are fitted enough to allow for a very flattering silhouette.

Made of 98% cotton and 2% elastane, the denim is sturdy with a very soft feel to the material.  There’s a little stretch to them, but not too much as to make these jeans feel stretched out after wear.  Initially, they felt very tight.  In fact, I thought I might have to go up a size in these.  But as soon as I got them zippered, they conformed right to my body and felt very comfortable.  However, that being said, these do run a little snug.  So if you’re in between sizes, I’d suggest taking the larger size in these as they run about a half size small.

The color is called Nico which is a very pretty medium blue wash with very little fading.  There is a white crease that goes straight down the front of each leg.  The hardware is all copper color which contrasts nicely against the blue denim.  The rear pockets are patch pockets which lay nicely along the rear.  The right rear pocket has MiH’s signature bird logo in copper color.

These have a cropped length with a 27 ½ inch inseam.  I really like the cropped length on these, which gives the jeans more versatility for the types of shoes to pair them with.  They look great with heels, wedges, flats, or even boots.  And as I mentioned earlier, these are a straight leg jean with a 12 inch leg opening.  (Measurements may vary slightly with different sizes.)

Washing instructions are:  machine wash in cold (40 degrees C), do not dry clean, tumble dry low, medium iron heat.

MiH Paris Cropped Jeans have been seen on Katherine Heigl, January Jones, Claudia Schiffer, Olivia Wilde, Ashley Greene, Natalie Portman, and many more.

  6. I have a MacBook computer and I want my pictures that are on my computer to be on my Motorola Razr 2 v9. I have a memory card and a memory card adapter. When I put the card in the adapter, the computer recognizes it. And the pictures that I have on my phone can transfer to the computer with no problem. But the pictures on my computer won’t transfer to my phone. All that shows up is a big red “x” on a black screen. Am I doing something wrong? The phone company is AT&T..
