I’ve mentioned in previous posts that I have a weakness for cropped /ankle length skinny jeans, which is particularly why I am so fond of Current/Elliott’s Stiletto style jeans. These are Current/Elliott’s Stiletto Jeans in Lake.
We’ve done some reviews recently on polka dot style jeans. We even did a review on another Stiletto style jean in Indigo Polka Dot (see our review here). But I felt the need to do this review because, although these are the same cut, they fit slightly different. The material on these is made of Japanese Twill made up of 98% cotton and 2% elastin. Initially, they felt very snug. But as with most jeans made of this twill material, they stretch out with some wear. There’s not a whole lot of elasticity in these jeans, which seems a little misleading when you first try them on because of how snug they feel. But they will stretch out over time. I’d say they run true to Current/Elliott’s sizing, but about a half size large compared to other standard designer sizes.
The wash is called Lake which is a very pretty medium to dark shade of blue with faded mini white polka dots throughout. The jeans also have some slight fading although the thighs and back legs. They’re fitted in style with an ankle cropped length (inseam is 27 inches). The rise is 7 inches with a 10 inch leg opening. (Keep in mind that measurements may vary slightly with different sizes). I really like the fit on these jeans. They’re fitted but don’t feel overly constricting, particularly after you wear them for a little while as they stretch out a bit.
I find myself having a bit of difficulty pairing some of the polka dot denim that I’ve tried this season. But these have a very neutral color to them, which makes pairing very easy for these. And they’re a nice alternative to the classic blue jean.
