Trouve Faded Denim Shirt in Denim Chambray

I was standing around in line waiting to make a return while I saw this shirt hanging in front of me.  So while I waited, I decided to just try it on to kill time. Lucky for me, there happened to be a mirror right in front of me.  I consider this fate because it turned out I loved it!  This is Trouve’s Faded Denim Shirt.

What I love most about this shirt is the fit.  It’s a fitted denim shirt, which makes for a flattering cut.  The way it’s cut makes for a very slimming effect.  The arm length is long with a 24 inch length.  I simply roll them up for a more cropped look.  Made of 100% lyocell, the material is very light-weight and soft.  It has a feeling almost similar to silk.

The pearl buttons have snap enclosures all along the front and the two front flap pockets as well as at the wrists.  The wash is called Denim Chambray, which is a lighter color blue denim.  There’s a beige colored contrast top-stitch that really stands out along the light blue color.  There’s something very laid-back and summery about this top which I love.  It pairs really well with so many options.  I decided to pair mine with my Rag & Bone Skinnies in Bleach Out wash (see our review here).  Nordstrom catalogued this top with white shorts and a floral top underneath, which also looked really pretty.

The sizing runs from sizes X-Small to Large.  I’d say this top runs true to size.  If you like to wear your denim shirts more oversized, then go up a size.  This is a fairly fitted top otherwise.

Washing instructions are:  dry clean only.

I paired this top with my Rag & Bone Skinnies in Bleach Out.  See our review here.
