J Brand Aidan Distressed Boy Fit Jeans in Gemini

Today’s jeans for review are JBrand’s Aidan Boy-Fit Jeans in Gemini.  They have been in our queue for quite a while.  I’ve been looking forward to trying them on and seeing what is making them so popular (aside from the fact that they are JBrand Jeans).  Lately, I have been living and loving in my Current/Elliott The Boyfriend Jeans (see my review here or Susan’s review here) so I’m very curious to see how these compare.

For starters, I love the color of these jeans.  It’s a great warm weather color but can also work well into the cooler temperatures ahead.

The wash is called Gemini and they are a great medium blue with light fading and some areas of distressing.  As you all know by now, I appreciate faded, distressed, and worn out looking jeans.  It has the usual whiskering in the front and the fading on the rear and upper thighs.  Initially, these are not as soft as Current/Elliott’s The Boyfriend Jean, but seeing that these are made of 100% cotton, they should soften up with regular wear and wash.  This is my favorite part of good denim.  These jeans even come with a tag that makes this exact claim.   It made me smile when I saw it.

The Aidan is considered a mid-rise jean and you can definitely feel the difference when you put it on.   You get good back coverage so you don’t feel any risk of exposure when you bend over.  And because it is a higher rise, it is slightly tapered at the waist that offers a good comfortable feel.   I like that the length is such that you can cuff these how you like.  I’ve seen these jeans cuffed once with an inch cuff or cuffed more than once.  I chose to cuff these twice with a thicker fold.  I currently like the look of a thicker cuff.  The choice is yours.  JBrand calls their Aidan a Boy-Fit jean and gives it this perfect description, “Delicately worn-in for a rough yet ladylike look…”.  This is a great boyfriend that offers a more slimming look compared to the Current/Elliott The Boyfriend jean.  It offers comfortable slouch and legroom without looking sloppy.  JBrand offers a very different look with their version of Boyfriend.  Overall, I love this Boy Fit jean different reasons than its’ competitor Boyfriends.  These jeans fit true to size.

  3. Have you ever thought about including a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is valuable and everything. However think of if you added some great visuals or videos to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and clips, this site could definitely be one of the best in its field. Amazing blog!

  4. I have had an online magazine for 3 years, and we are looking to spice up the website. We’ve used Joomla, but are now looking for something new. Is WordPress better than Joomla? We will be adding content rich items on the site: videos, etc. Any suggestions?.
