Joe’s High Water Jeans in Keri

Joe’s Jeans is a brand that is known for their pioneering concept of body specific fits.  This past year, I’ve had the privilege of trying several new styles by this brand, and not one of them has disappointed me so far.  This style is Joe’s High Water Jeans in Keri.

The fit on these is considered a skinny style, although they’re a bit more relaxed than many skinny jeans that I’ve owned.  Don’t get me wrong, skinny jeans is one of my absolute favorite styles, but it’s been a bit difficult to think about wearing skin tight jeans in this sweltering heat we’ve had lately.  So this style is a really nice alternative to those of you who still prefer to wear your skinny jeans.  They’re fitted throughout the thighs and calves, but they’re slightly more relaxed and not as body-hugging.  Made of a sturdier, rugged denim, they’re made of 98% cotton and 2% polyurethane.  The denim is on the thicker side, and they feel a bit stiff initially.  They don’t have a whole lot of elasticity to the jeans, but they do stretch out a little after some wear.  These run true to size.

The wash is called Keri, which is a light blue color with vintage looking fading throughout the jeans.  They’re also a very destroyed style with holes along the knees, left lower thigh, and front and rear pockets.  There’s also distress along the waistband and bottom hem, which adds to the relaxed look and feel of the jeans.   These have a higher rise of 8 ½ inches.  They’re cropped in length, which is always a favorite of mine (inseam is 28 inches).  The leg opening is 11 inches.  Keep in mind that measurements may vary slightly according to different sizes.

Washing instructions are:  dry cleaning is recommended.  Or machine wash cold, inside out with like colors, no chlorine bleach, hang dry, cool iron if necessary.

Thanks for posting great pics and a terrific breakdown of these jeans. I had been eyeing these Joe’s and love the slightly higher rise and crop inseam (I’m 5’2″). I was a bit unsure of the lighter wash on the backside but your pics show that it looks really good and sexy! The jeans look great on you.

  4. I have a degree in psychology, which I have found to be useless. And I am planning on going back to school and getting a Masters in Creative Writing, because I enjoy writing and would love to learn more techniques to make myself a better writer. I am worried, however, that this degree will not open up many doors in terms of the job market (just as my psychology degree has failed to do). Any thoughts? Thank you..
