J Brand Midori Boyfriend Jeans in Bigtime

Patchwork denim has begun to creep up on us again (just as we predicted in our Spring Trends forecast), and it’s hitting the denim world in a big way this season.  You’ll find no complaints from me, as I am a huge fan of patchwork denim.  I love the look of bohemian inspired jeans, and patchwork denim thrive on inspiration from the 70’s, a fashion era that I adore.

The jeans I’m wearing here are J Brand Midori Boyfriend Jeans.  One of the difficulties in finding the right pair of destroyed jeans is due to the location of the holes.  Oftentimes the holes are placed on the knee, which look great but aren’t the most convenient if you have any intentions of ever bending your legs. But these jeans have reinforcement behind the holes, which is great.  And behind the distress are darker blue denim patches.  So even as the distressed threads become more pronounced, there’s a nice dark blue patch underneath that peaks through.  This is inherent to the design of the patchwork.

The wash is called Bigtime, which is a darker blue denim with fading and/or whiskering through the thighs, knees, and rear.  The contrast stitch is a copper color which matches well with the copper hardware.  Made of 98% cotton and 2% elastane, they’re made from a 10-ounce power stretch denim, but there isn’t a lot of elasticity to the jeans.  But the denim is fairly soft and feel pretty worn in from the start.  The fit depends on how your prefer to wear your boyfriend jeans.  These are meant to be a fitted style boyfriend jean.  If you prefer them to fit a bit more relaxed, then I’d advise going with your normal size.  If you prefer a tighter fit, then go down a size.  I’m wearing my normal J Brand size in these.

The rise is 7 ¾ inches which is a medium rise.  The inseam is 30 inches, but can be rolled up to any length you prefer.  The leg opening is 11 ½ inches.

Washing instructions are:  Wash inside out in cold water with like colors, do not bleach, tumble dry low, remove promptly, do not iron.

I am 20 years old and interested in starting a blog, but I’m not sure where I should (what site) or how to start. I have so many interests(fashion, politics, football, acting, etc) so I’d like a journal like blog that I can write about anything and everything. Please weigh in..

  5. I’m doing a project about spectators and am trying to find peoples opinions and feelings from the olympics (whether watching it in beijing or on the tv).. . I searched technorati for “olympics” and there are sooo many results that are much more recent and come up first, but aren’t what I’m looking for, I can’t work out how to filter out ones from the games…. . Anyone know how I can do a search for blog posts tagged olympics in say the month of August..
