Rag & Bone/JEAN Burney Vest in Mender

We recently did a post about how to wear your denim vest (see here).  Since then, I’d been in search of the perfect denim vest.  Luckily there are a lot to choose from this season.  This one is definitely one of my favorites so far.  This is rag & bone/JEAN Burney Vest.

What I like most about this vest is the shape.  For me personally, the boxiness works.  I like that the shoulders are a bit broader (a 5 inch shoulder length), given that I don’t have very broad shoulders.  This is a classic and casual vest that I’ve been able to wear with just about anything.  And the color, (wash name is Mender) is perfect for just that.  It’s a dark blue denim with some fading and light distress, and it goes with just about any color.

The cut on this vest is meant to be on the more relaxed and loose side.  If you prefer a more tailored look, there are a lot of other great vests to choose from (see the Current/Elliott The Sleeveless Snap Jacket).  The length from the top of shoulder to the bottom is 21 inches.  Made of 100% cotton, the denim feel fairly worn in from the start.  The fit runs slightly large due to the nature of  the relaxed cut.

Washing instructions are:  Wash inside out, machine wash cold, do not bleach, hang dry, Indigo may bleed.
