Hopefully you’re all enjoying your winter so far and not getting stressed out from the hustle and bustle of the holidays. The weather here in LA has bounced back and forth from gusty winds to hot and sunny. But I can’t complain, especially when I’m reading about some 20 degree weather currently in other parts of the world.
Today’s review is on Current/Elliott The Cropped Straight. The color is called Loved which is one of my favorite of their washes. Loved is one of Current/Elliott’s signature colors, which they’ve made in several different styles. We reviewed it in the Boyfriend Jean in the past (see here). It’s such a perfect shade of a vintage dark blue jean. I can definitely see why they made several of their styles in this wash.
The style is a straight leg jean. But since they have a cropped inseam (27 inches), it looks slightly flared at the bottom with a 13 inch leg opening. The jeans are pretty fitted throughout otherwise. These run true to Current/Elliott sizing, which typically runs a little larger than most other designers’ standard sizing. The material is made of 90% cotton, 6% polyester, and 4% elastane. The material on these overall have less of a stretch and don’t feel as super soft as I’m used to from Current/Elliott’s jeans. But hopefully with more wear, they’ll soften up a bit.
The bottom hem has been let out, giving a more vintage feel to the jeans, which I love. It added a little length to the jeans, and I love the look of a frayed looking hem. The rise is 8 inches, which feel like a little bit of a higher rise.
Washing instructions are: Machine wash cold, tumble dry low heat, iron low heat, do not bleach.
